Hello
My name is Erin. I am originally from Colorado and have lived in Southern Oregon for the past 20+ years with my sweet family. I run a web design and marketing agency called Ruby Slipper Designs, and we specialize in websites and marketing for nonprofits.
Politics
My mom was raised Republican — she grew up in Wisconsin, Florida, and Massachusetts. My dad was raised Democrat — he was born in New York but also lived in New Orleans and Ohio. I mention them because I believe the things that bind us together are stronger than those that tear us apart.
Planet
I love our planet. The majority of scientists agree — our earth is getting warmer, year after year. But because of a lot of reasons, we really haven’t been able to stop this current trajectory. The time for action is now, and together, we can make a difference.
Future
I have a step-daughter and son. They are amazing and have taught me more about life than anyone. If I live to be 100, in 2072, I’d like ALL our grand kids to enjoy the snow. I’d like them to have fresh drinking water and clean oceans to swim in. I envision a future where all creatures live healthy lives on this beautiful earth.
Hope
Fellow Americans, there are things we can do RIGHT NOW to adjust our behavior and make a difference. Change is hard. A lot of us enjoy routine creature comforts. We travel around the US and abroad, we go to the grocery store and load up on avocados, chocolate, and coffee. We buy stuff online and go about our busy days…
Change
The thing is, we have an opportunity to embrace change. We get to think about the ways in which our lifestyle impacts our planet and start to make a difference. One that will make our lives better, as well as the lives of future generations. That is the song I hear every day, and I’m excited to play the music together.
“The earth is what we all have in common.”
